After several Fridays (pretty much the only day we can work on our own bikes..)
the stainless steel handshifter and linkage are done! Next job will be replacing the steel brakepedal on the left side of the bike with a stainless version on the right side of the bike.
We had already been doing some work on
the motor plates removing the ribs, now we had to move the brake
pedal pivot from the left side to the right side of the bike.
Actually we just made a new pivot point. It is slightly different
because our version will have a bronze bushing. Aad finished the
welding, next week a lot of filing and grinding to make both
pieces look like castings again.
