Project started October 2023,

 

We made the batterybox at Aad's dayjob, where they have all the cool tools. In our new plan the oiltank will slide in place from the right side of the bike, and the battery will go in from the top. Unfortunately the battery is a bit too big so we are making the tube that goes from left to right under the seat removeable.

 
 

The clutch will be converted to hydraulic, which means the bottom of the oiltank can follow all the shapes in the top of the transmission. This will help make sure we have plenty of oil capacity even with the big battery.

 
 
 
 

With the bottom of the oiltank mocked up we found it was going to be a pretty tight fit. The stock front oiltank mount had to be removed but after that it was a lot easier to get the oiltank in and out of the frame.

 
 
 

The last big obstacle was the pivot of the clutch arm, so we will convert the clutch to hydraulic before continuing with the oiltank.Stay tuned for the next episode !
