Project started October 2023,

Aad fabricated a fork stop between frame and lower tree, then we started on the rest of the fork. Looking at the reproduction fork from India, nothing was really how we wanted it so we decided to make all the parts from scratch. Basically all parts were machined and welded together, then the welds smoothed and the parts which were actually castings in the original fork were textured to resemble the cast finish.

Some of the tabs we were not going to use were left off, and the wall thickness around the pivots was slightly increased for strength. We changed the headlight mount, and on the top connecting piece between the fork legs we went from one greasenipple in the middle to one on each side. The axle clamps were made in 3/4" diameter to work with the Harley WLA front hub that we will be using.

Everything is tacked together now, next time we weld it all together, make new rockers and a new top tree...
