Project started October 2023,

To get the top part of the legs shaped correctly we made a heavy steel jig, where the forklegs could slide over a pin and then with some heat be bended towards the jig. This way both legs have exactly the same shape.

As the neck size of the Indian forks was very different from a Harley neck, and the reproduction lower tree was not quite straight anyway, we made both parts from scratch. The new design is a bit cleaner and a lot stronger. After fabricating the lower tree from 3 machined pieces the welds were cleaned up and the whole thing was textured to resemble a casting. We will probably remake all the parts of the girder and only use the springs....

In the last pic the end result, we are happy with it!
