Our friend Theo is restoring a Harley Davidson W from 1919, this has a rather rare boxer engine. The engine is already rebuilt but the tank was still missing, so we will be making a new tank from skratch.

After the sheetmetalwork was completed, Theo had the 2 tankhalves electrostatically coated with tin. This will be very usefull when soldering on all the fittings and then finally soldering the 2 halves together. It will also protect the inside of the tank from corrosion.

A lot of the fittings were fabricated from scratch by Theo, some special tools needed to be made such as the one above to make an angled flanged. After a lot of testfitting the tank is now just about ready for paint!
