Our friend Theo is restoring a Harley Davidson W from 1919, this has a rather rare boxer engine. The engine is already rebuilt but the tank was still missing, so we will be making a new tank from skratch.

After fixing the planishing hammer last week, Aad used a special die in the radius of the tank tomake sure the seams would be perfect before welding. In some spots there were gaps that had to be filled up to achieve a perfect fit.

The last task before soldering was the drilling of the holes for fuelcap, oilcap and all the fittings. Theo intends to have the whole tank tinned before soldering all the pieces together.
