Next job on our list was to find a clean solution for the throttle cables. I came up with several crazy plans and in the end we chose the solution in the drawing above.

In the stock version the 3 separate cables come together in a plastic cylinder, which works but looks quite messy. We are going to route the cables through the frame, and the place they come together can be reached by removing the tank, if necessary.


We had to make quite a large hole in the frame, but the part that got welded in was at least as strong as the part removed, so no worries!

The small part that is bolted in the rear of the slot is to make it easier to get the cables in place. All together this took us 2 afternoons sofar, tomorrow we will start installing the cables to see if it works!
