Starting with the right half of a 1978 FLH 5 gallon tank (the one that was on my bike when I bought it) Aad starting cutting and welding. The whole dash area was filled, the big gap between frame and front of tank was filled and the gascap hole was filled. We used cardboard templates to determine the shape of the carb-cutout. We have a PVM front wheel that also used to be on my bike a long time ago and a Braking wavedisc, the wheel has 6 holes and the disc has 5 so this will mean welding the 6 holes in the wheel shut, machining a boss to center the brakedisc and drilling 5 new holes. That has nothing to do with the tank, but the wheel picture had to go somewhere....
