Ronnie Kreeft wanted to replace the huge plastic ass on his Buell with something smaller and sexier, so he asked us to fabricate a replacement rearend in aluminum. We started by making a simple jig to determine the mounting points and the new position for the taillight. We fabricated 4 bungs that we bolted onto the jig and bent 2 solid aluminum bars to create a frame for the new ass.
(Actually I made the templates and Aad did the bending.)

I cut cardboard templates for the sides and Aad cut them out in aluminum, gave them some shape on the english wheel and welded them on. To be continued next week..
