I continued working on the throttle linkage, in order to avoid
visible cables as much as possible. The nut for the top motormount
doubles as the base for the throttle linkage. I machined 2 flat
sides so it will stay in position and also made 2 small bronze
bearings. All the rest is stainless steel and will be fully polished
later. |

To make the "arm" at the bottom of the pivot shaft
I put a piece of stainless in my lathe with a nut between the
material and one of the 3 jaws of the chuck, allowing me to machine
a little excentric part resembling a crankshaft. I then sanded
and machined away the extra material. The rod that transfers the
rotation of the shaft to the carb will be made with some tiny
balljoints that are normally used in the suspension of RC cars... |
