One of the most usefull tools in designing motorcycle parts,
is a laserscanner.
It can be used to get measurements of parts that need to be
replaced
or of the area in which a new part needs to fit.
Here are some examples of some of the things I scanned recently.
The scanner that I am currently using is an Einscan Pro Plus
2x with turntable and tripod,
I am not a big fan of freehand scanning as that will never
achieve the same accuracy.
These are screenshots of the STL files that the scanner produces.
