One of the most usefull tools in designing motorcycle parts,
is a laserscanner.
It can be used to get measurements of parts that need to be
replaced or of the area in which a new part needs to fit.
Here are some examples of some of the things I scanned recently.
The scanner that I am currently using is an Einscan Pro Plus
2x with turntable and tripod,
I am not a big fan of freehand scanning as that will never
achieve the same accuracy.
These are screenshots of the STL files that the scanner produces,
these are just some of the projects I have been working on
in the last months. To turn them in to CAD models is the next
step, I do that also, but that is a different story.
