Using pieces of cardboard again as templates, Fred cuts and welds and cuts and welds
some more, carefully shaping the metal so that it flows around the frame and engine.

 

As I look at the almost finished tank half, it seems almost like a shame to paint it....

 

The two slots in the front of the tanks are to allow air circulation around the oilfilter.

 

Check out the two-piece pipes, held together by springs! Now that everything has been
assembled in bare metal, Fred takes the whole bike apart again for painting and polishing.
