WEBER IDF CARBS

We made a longer verson of the Weber IDF manifold using 54x2mm
pipe because it was the closest size we could find. The original
prototype was 56x4mm macined from solid and both Aad and me
were not happy at all with the thinner pipe.
The curved pipes are also 4mm wall thickness and especially the
connection between the 16mm flange and the 2mm seemed like a
potential weak spot. The long manifold did fit fine but we decided
we didn't want customers with broken manifolds and we made a
PLAN B

We decided to make the oval flange and the pipe out of one single
piece of 100mm solid aluminum, this way we can make a big radius
between flange and pipe and eliminate the weld inside the oval
flange, this is a much stronger construction and if Wolfgang is
reading this: the first 2 manifolds with this stronger construction
are almost finished and will be for you!
