Project started May 2026,
This project is quite different from previous ones, we bought the bike at the beginning of the riding season so I will be making several upgrades between rides without taking the whole bike apart yet. In the winter it will get repainted but for now Adele wants to ride it!

I continued work on the rear fender and started on the sissybar. I am doing the fabrication and tacking the parts together, after which Aad usually does the final welding because his welds still look better than mine, haha

We bent the sissybar from 13 mm steel on Aad's bender, I welded a tab on the frame opposite the existing tab for the muffler so now I have 2 mounting points for the sissybar. The new fender follows the shape of the tire much better than the one that was on there, I can get a bit obsessive about gaps having to be nice....

I got a new tool to measure diameters by the way, very usefull! I marked the fender and cut off and rounded the ends, after mounting it again it is looking quite good I think, next will be adding a strong and good looking connection between the sissybar and the rear fender, and I want it to be easy to remove also.

The licenseplate will be mounted on the sissybar along with a smaller taillight. After taking these pics I temporarily put the old fender back because Adele wanted to ride this bike to the Chopperbash, which she did.
