Project started October 2023,

 

My idea for the oiltank was to have it follow the "S" shape of the rear downtubes, so I made 19 mm cross-sections in such a way that it could all be assembled like a puzzle to create a wooden buck. We glued all the paper cross sections on MDF and started cutting them all out.

 
 
 
 
 
 

Well normally I am always on the other side of the camera but here Aad cought me sawing out one of the pieces, haha. The cross-sections were designed so they can only be assembled in one way, after the glue is dry the buck will be sanded to the final form and we can start on the sheet metal version..
