Project started October 2023,

We started with a hub from a WLA (Sidevalve army Harley from WW2) which was pretty worn out. We blasted all the rust off and machined the inside of the brakedrum. Without taking it out of the lathe we then machined the hardened bearing surface to accept modern sealed bearings. then we flipped the hub over in the lathe and machined the other side. The hub and an old 21 inch rim we sent to Ralph (the Spokeman) who laced them together

With the bike finally standing on it's own two wheels, we decided to take it off the table and roll it outside to see what it looked like on the ground.

We used some old handlebars and an old tank for the pics, we will be making our own later.
More pics next week, and then back on the table!
