Project started October 2023,

Completing the swingarm, starting with the rear hub

There was an ugly flat plate on the front of the swingarm so we radiused the edges, the swingarm was welded on both sides of the 2 slugs; the front welds were ground down to make them invisible, the rear welds were left visible so it would look stock. The bike was still a bit too high at the rear with the 11" shocks. I came up with adjustable upper shock mounts, these work so well that I will be selling these in the webshop soon! I am sure other people will be able to use them as there are only 3 shock lengths available (11", 12"and 13,5") and with these adjustable studs you can raise or lower the bike if you need a size inbetween.

Next we started planning the rear hub which we will build from scratch. We put the backplate of the hydraulic drumbrake in the correct position and using a laser we put the wheel in the center of the bike. This rear wheel is a 15" of unknown origins, the welds are pretty crappy but Aad will fix that. As we will be making sheetmetal wheelcovers most of the wheel will be hidden from sight anyway.

I took all neccesary dimensions and next week we will start making a hub!
