Project started October 2023,

We complete the top motormount and start with the swingarm

The mounting point on the frame for the top motor mount we made from the same material and in the same radius as the round bars behind the neck. For now Aad only welded the easy to reach parts, when the engine is out of the frame again he will weld the rest.

Next job was installing the swingarm, we started with an aftermarket "arrowhead" swingarm. To install it we machined a spacer between the bearings and 2 small spacers for between bearings and frame.
The holes for the swingarm studs were a bit sloppy so we reamed them out to 16 mm and then made the lower shock mount studs from a piece of hexagonal steel. The shocks will be 11" so quite a bit shorter than the 13.5"shocks that would normally be used with this typoe of swingarm.

The swingarm is also going to be extended about 1" but more about that next week.
