In my first attempt at a (printed) speedo face I found it would not let through any light so it would have been unreadable in the dark. Also it was white and I wanted it to be the same cream color as my rims. I managed to find a piece of plexiglass in the exact color I wanted but it was 3 mm thick, and I needed only 1 mm. So I machined away the excess material and had some transparant stickers printed. This time the speedo face let too much light through and you could see the 7 leds behind it very clearly.

So I made another spedo face in 3 mm, and only machined away the areas on the backside that interfered with the components on the circuit board. This was already better but still not perfect. I even tried making a sticker with a black background, I will test the best versions mounted on the bike and decide which one to use at that point.

Next on my list was mounting the speedo under the bubble. I want it to look as if it is floating so I need to figure out how to mount it and what to do with the remaining space under the bubble. I removed the tanks and started experimenting. The 2 rings in the next pic are the same thickness as the front tankmounts so I can install the dash without the tanks installed. To be continued...
