To get the bike registered, all the lights need to be EC approved, so I bought the cheapest taillight with such an approval. I should have known better, because it turned out that there was no way to mount it on the fender, because the 3 mounting holes were at the wrong angle. Also the fender is very close to the tire... I fabbed up a little mounting bracket from scrap iron and welded that to the fender, now there are no bolts sticking through. Painted the fender and various brackets with rattlecan primer and put the rearend back together. Next jobs: chainguard, front blinkers and battery box.
