I got me a Paughco inner primary, it needed some machining to clear the front pulley of the primary drive. Also it will need some modifications to fit the belt tensioner and to make room for the transmission bearing support. While I was at it I drilled some big holes to make mounting the 2 bolts behind the alternator a lot easier.

I tapped on the inner primary with a nylon hammer to mark the positions of the bearing support holes. The inner primary is very thin so this was pretty easy. Then I drilled out the holes, temporarily bolted the bearing support to the cover to mark where it needed to be cut. That smooth outer primary will look killer, to be continued...
