We continue the removeable front tankmount; I cut a cardboard
template for the correct shape and Aad carefully bends the tapered
stainless parts under the press. A small piece is TIG welded
in between to add strength. Ofcourse after welding the part
is bent, this always happens with stainless steel... so we bend
it back and later it will be polished..
I made a CAD drawing of the flanges for the Stromberg carbs
and Emailed it to the lasercutter, a week later the flanges
arrived, cut from 8 mm stainless steel. Only minor finishing
is neccesary, and for small numbers of parts it is cheaper than
waterjetting.
