My first "real" bike was a BMW R51/2,
It was a 500cc bike that had both hand and footshift!
After a few years I swapped it for a 1969 Norton
Commando basket case, because the Norton had 750 cc's.
The Norton I rebuilt and sold after a year or so,
to finance the rebuilding of my Shovel......
