Fantastic Ural from Finland

Hi,

My name is Olli, I'm 25 years old design student from Finland. Right
now I'm exchance in Slovenia.
We did meet in Norrtelje Custom Bike Show last summer. I was there
whit my Yamaha XS650 cafe racer. I was telling about my Ural Chopper.
I think I also did promise to send some pictures of it. Its nice to
look your BMW Project, there is some so similar thinks than in Ural.
My Ural is copy of R71 (about) but still frame is really similar than
what was yours. Its also nice to see quality of your work, I really
like when people are doing top finished bikes. I hope I'm able to
start my next Motorcycle project soon, its going to be chopper again.

So my bike is:

Ural M-61, 1959. There is +20" Ural own forks, self made hard tail
frame. Engine is rebuild whit using Mazda Capella Pistons (its now
774cc), rest is NOS parts from Russia. Carburator is Weber DCOE 40. I
like high torque because of long intake manifold. Bike is running
amazingly good, just top speed is not so high, around 130km/h. Good
travelling speed is about 90km/h. There is small hidden silensers in
the exthaust system. I was building it to be authentic 60's-70's style
chopper. I manufactured almost everything by my self. Just seat, paint
work and ofcourse chroming is made of some one else. Bike won non-HD
Chopper class in Nortelje Custom Bike Show 2003.

Here you can find some other work of mine:
