Project started November 2022,
5 February 2023 Added seat and "fender", Seats are tough to model in CAD! 15 January 2023 I modified the fueltank so that it has nice even gaps all around, then added some simple graphics, fuelcaps, fuelvalve and fuellines 30 December 2022 I completed the frame and started with the tank, also added the linkage between the carbs. The rear of the primary has been cut open for a bit more cornering angel and to show off the drilled clutch housing. I also added a "Cannonball" electric start kit, which is a product that I designed for W&W many years ago. 18 December 2022 Most of the frame is now complete, except for the top of the seatpost. I like a motor to be easily accesible so I made a removable frame section above the front head. The 2 tubes that go from the top of the seatpost to the rear axle are tapered to match the fork legs. Also added several new views. 10 December 2022 I completed the girder forks in the style of old Indians. with legs that are tapered from round to oval and then back to round. I also added the rear chain, always a lot of work... 28 November 2022 For the frame I will be using castings, with the tube sections between them slid in and then welded, much like the old stock Harley frames. The transmission has been lifted 1", and a rear wheel from a Triumph added. I started on the girder forks and added short velocity stacks on the Linkert carbs. I changed the pipes so they are tucked in more. Also added one of my Wavebars. It has been a while since I designed a bike just for fun and I am really enjoying myself! 14 November 2022 Started this project with a Panhead engine, with modified heads to accept dual carbs and a Vincent style exhaust. Then added a primary and a transmission, plus the wheel locations. This is enough to determine the steering angle and trail, next week I start with the frame!
