Project started November 2013
29 May 2014 Added hand- and footcontrols, new top motormount, hidden coil, reshaped tank- cutout and a brand-new primary 15 April 2014: Added EMD "Snatch" ribbed covers and updated the paintjob 26 March 2014: New pipes and stripes, replaced the Mikuni carb with a Weber IDF and notched the gastank to be able to tuck in the carb 12 March 2014: Tweaking the overall lines a bit; handle bars lowered 1", tail section remodeled etcetera 28 February 2014: Added headlight, handlebar grips, front and rear PM brake calipers, kickstarter pedal and aircleaner. Modified and narrowed the gastank and added ribs on the mufflers. 14 February 2014: Added pipes, handlebars and a new color scheme 25 January 2014: Added Seat , Tank, Front Brakes and Primary 15 December 2013: Added rear sprockets and chain; 24 Teeth on the front sprocket and 43(!) on the back. This in combination with the big engine will make for great highspeed riding. I also added wheelhub details, axles, top fork tree and a Mikuni HSR 45 carb. 3 December 2013: STEP 4: Added a cast-style neck, full floating 12" brakediscs and added a narrow lower forktree. 24 November 2013: STEP 3: I added Marchesini wheels, although the 21" front wheel would probably need to be custom machined as that size is not available from Marchesini as far as I know. I also added Upside- down forks in 8" overstock length. The transmission is a 4-speed, extra gears will not be neccesary as I plan to use a very small rear sprocket and the bike will be in 4th gear (direct drive) most of the time anyway. This will make for comfortable highspeed cruising! 20 November 2013: STEP 2 was modifying the frame to accept the much bigger Twincam A engine. My intention is to make the frame keep it's classic look while adapting it to fit long forks and a modern engine, 14 November 2013: A new project, and the "theme" will be Speedchop! I hate the word theme by the way. I started with a stock classic hardtail frame (that will be modified ofcourse) and a big Twincam A style engine that does not fit in this frame at all yet. 17" rear wheel with a 170 modern Metzeler tire, 21" Metzeler at the front. Lets see if I can make something out of this...
