Cadbike #52 was inspired by Ed Roth's Megacycle
26 December 2017: I changed the seat again, added fuellines, added throttlecables (that go into the engine cover) and a fuelvalve on top of the tank for easy access. (my 45" flathead HD used to have the fuelvalve on top of the tank, very practical!) 4 December 2017: I moved the carbs about 8 inches forward to create some more leg room, changed the seat and grips, added a ribbed panel in the front engine cover and changed the colours a bit. Finally I upgraded my rendering software from Keyshot 5 to Keyshot 7 so the materials in the renderings should look more realistic. 27 November 2017: As planned I tried some more exotic carbs this week, 2 Weber IDF downdraft carbs. Probably way too much for a 900 cc bike. Maybe I will change this again next week, maybe not. I also swapped the handlebars for a set of my own DBBP Wavebars, this I definitively like! Studying the original Roth bike the whole thing needs more chrome, and maybe some Lake Injectors? 21 November 2017: Suddenly we are 5 years later, and I have been doing so much CAD work for customers that I have had no time for my own Cadbike projects, not that I am complaining! Anyway I decided to give one of my old projects an update. I chose this one because I was never completely happy with it, and started by changing the tank graphics, the pipes and the top engine cover, maybe I should try some crazy carbs? 17 October 2012: Added electrics/batterybox, throttlecables kickstarter pedal, various nuts and bolts and added a black outline between the blue and the aluminum on the engine cases. Changed the seat back to red. 20 September 2012: Added shifter, brake linkage, frog- eye taillights and front axle , changed pipes again and am still experimenting with the colors. 5 September 2012: Decreased the metalflake a bit, painted part of the engine cases sortof like an old VW van, added footrests, rear brake arm and rear axle. Added extra views. 29 August 2012 Added seat, changed pipes, modified lower frame tubes to follow curve of seat, added tank graphics and metalflake paint 17 July 2012: Added headlight, grips, centerstand, Amal carbs, seat frame and modified frame, pipes and rear fender. 11 July 2012: Added handlebars, pipes and rear fender this week. Experimenting with finish on engine, shiny or not? 6 July 2012: New front downtubes on frame, plus molded neck and tank. Added a set of raked Triumph forktrees. 28 June 2012: Added Triumph shrouded forks, started reshaping frame, added mounting bracket for shaft drive. 23 June 2012: Inspird by Ed Roth's Megacycle, but this version has a BMW R90S drivetrain. Started with the frame of Cadbike 33, an 18" Firestone on the back and a 21" Avon Speed- master on the front.
