To my surprise, it turns out that my 1955 front hub with spokes and a
19" black rim is about 20% lighter than a modern billet wheel!
Good, because I prefer the looks of the old wheel also. The drum
brake is a different story, not only is it heavy, it doesn't brake very
well either so it will soon be replaced with the BRAKING disc.
